Woodward worms & friends
Welcoming worms in central NC. Bio: After a few significant allergic reactions to several over the counter fertilizers I stumbled upon Captain Matt’s channel and worm castings. Out of curiosity I bought 1500 red wrigglers in the spring and now have 10 thriving bins with lots of cocoons. We have just moved the worms out of a spare bedroom in our house into a large heated and air conditioned space where we live that could easily accommodate millions of worms and a small storefront but not a forklift. We are both retired but I have a small private practice in health care and my husband was a biologist. Our son recently graduated from seminary and is working at a local church.I see potential income supplement for him too. However, even if this didn’t turn into a business I would still want to keep worms. I have never been able to grow anything but with the world changes became determined to learn this year. After I got rid of the worms that decimated my tomatoes, I used my first batch on casting on them. Not only did they come back but here in mid November they are still producing and the winter garden is spectacular. I look at these creatures with amazement. .
